His co-star has made her red-carpet debut.
Bradley Cooper’s daughter, Lea De Seine, made a rare public appearance Tuesday during the world premiere of the film “Maestro.”
De Seine, who plays a younger version of Leonard Bernstein’s daughter, Jamie, on-screen, was joined by Carey Mulligan, 38, at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in LA.
Cooper, 48, was spotted grinning from ear to ear as he posed in a navy three-piece suit with his daughter, whom he shares with ex-girlfriend Irina Shayk.
Even though she was not present at the screening, Shayk, 37, praised her ex-boyfriend and 6-year-old daughter online, writing via Instagram Story: “Congrats @maestrofilm So proud Daddy and Lea.”
Cooper was also supported by his “A Star Is Born” co-star Lady Gaga, who walked the red carpet and took photographs with her longtime friend.
The 13-time Grammy winner and the “Hangover” star initially sparked dating rumors after the duo performed an intimate rendition of the 2018 film’s hit song “Shallow” at the 2019 Academy Awards.
Cooper, who split from the Russian model that same year, denied the allegations, claiming that he and the “Born This Way” songstress decided to stay in character to ease his nerves about singing live.
“Just from a personal standpoint, it reduces the anxiety level,” Cooper told the Hollywood Reporter in 2021. “They kind of fall in love in that scene in the film. It’s that explosive moment that happens to happen to them on a stage in front of thousands of people . . . It would have been so weird if we were both on stools facing the audience.”
Cooper is currently romantically linked to supermodel Gigi Hadid.
The actor was also recently spotted slinging Philly cheesesteaks in an Angelo’s Pizzeria food truck on Sixth Avenue and West Third Street in Greenwich Village.
“Afternoon, bread heads! Come on down! Get a cheesesteak,” Cooper joked in a video posted by the eatery.
Cooper was later joined by Hadid, 28, and Shayk, who dropped by separately to see the actor hard at work.
“Maestro,” which tells the story of legendary Broadway composer and conductor Leonard Bernstein, has come under fire for Cooper sporting a prosthetic nose for the role.
“I wasn’t expecting it to happen,” the film’s makeup artist, Kazu Hiro, said after online critics said the nose was a prime example of “Jewface.”
“I feel sorry if I hurt some people’s feelings. I wanted to portray Lenny as real as possible.” Hiro, 54, said while at a press conference at the Venice Film Festival.
“He’s photogenic and a great person, we wanted to respect and love that look,” continued the two-time Oscar winner. “We did several different tests. That was our [only] intention.”
The film has been heavily scrutinized since the debut of its first trailer, depicting Bernstein with a wildly exaggerated nose. Cooper, who is not Jewish, is also directing.
A statement released by Bernstein’s family defended the A-lister’s portrayal of their father, who passed away in 1990 at the age of 72.
“We were touched to the core to witness the depth of his commitment, his loving embrace of our father’s music, and the sheer open-hearted joy he brought to his exploration,” Jamie, Alexander and Nina Bernstein said in a statement shared on social media.
“It breaks our hearts to see any misrepresentations or misunderstandings of his efforts. It happens to be true that Leonard Bernstein had a nice, big nose. Bradley chose to use makeup to amplify his resemblance, and we’re perfectly fine with that.”
According to his children, Bernstein himself “would have been fine with it as well.”
Cooper, for his part, defended the decision. “I thought, ‘Maybe we don’t need to do it,’ ” he said in a recent “CBS Mornings” interview. “But it’s all about balance, and, you know, my lips are nothing like Lenny’s, and my chin. And so we had that, and it just didn’t look right [without the prosthetic]. The truth is . . . I’d done this whole process out of love, and it’s so clear to me where I come from.”
“Maestro” will premiere on Netflix Dec. 20 following a brief theatrical run.
