WWE stars pay tribute to Bray Wyatt with matching tattoos - New York Post

A handful of WWE stars found their own way to permanently honor Bray Wyatt.

Wyatt, whose real name is Windham Rotunda, unexpectedly died of a reported heart attack on Thursday at the age of 36 after complications from COVID-19.

A number of his peers chose to get Wyatt’s “Firefly” logo tattooed on them before “SmackDown” on Friday night.

Wrestlers Braun Strowman, Karrion Kross and Shotz along with Rob Fee — WWE’s head of long-term creative — can all be seen on Kross’ wife Scarlet’s Instagram stories at an Indiana tattoo parlor making Wyatt’s memory and symbol a permanent part of them.

Strowman was a member of the star’s famous Wyatt Family stable and Fee worked closely with Wyatt on the build to his return to WWE last year.

WWE paid tribute to Wyatt, as well as the legendary Terry Funk, on an emotional Smackdown from Lousiville, Kentucky.

Wyatt’s famous rocking chair was left alone on the stage in a spotlight surrounded by the wrestler to open the show and it closed with his signature lantern lit in the ring.

Wyatt, the son of wrestling legend Mike Rotunda, was a three-time world champion in WWE and considered one of the most innovative creative minds in the business, pushing the envelope of storytelling and the use of visual effects.

He signed with the company in 2009 for developmental and became a permanent fixture on the main roster from 2012 until he was released in 2021 in the middle of his run with the “Firefly Funhouse” and The Fiend character.

He wrestled in just one television match at the Royal Rumble in January before coming off the road with WWE in February because of an undisclosed illness.
