Mike Batayeh, the actor best known for playing laundromat manager Dennis Markowski on “Breaking Bad,” has died. He was 52.
Batayeh died in his sleep of a heart attack at his Michigan home on June 1, his family confirmed to The Post on Friday.
Batayeh’s death was very sudden, according to his relatives, and he did not have a history of heart issues.
“He will be greatly missed by those who loved him and his great ability to bring laughter and joy to so many,” his family said in a statement to TMZ.
A celebration of life service will take place June 16 in Plymouth, Michigan, his manager told The Post.
Batayeh appeared in three episodes of AMC’s “Breaking Bad,” from 2011 to 2012, as Markowski, the manager of Lavandería Brillante industrial laundromat, run by drug kingpin Gus Fring.
He also appeared in movies such as “American Dreamz” (2006), “This Narrow Place” (2011) and “Detroit Unleaded” (2012).
Batayeh was a comedian and voice actor who made appearances on “The Bernie Mac Show,” “Boy Meets World” and “CSI: Miami.”
Fellow comedian Steven Lolli reacted to Batayeh’s passing in a tweet Thursday.
“Mike Batayeh was one of my 1st & best friends in comedy in LA & a great comedian. He played Dennis in #BreakingBad of course. No matter how successful, he always included friends. Class act. Ask God to please go easy on us Jews, Mike. It will be a great favor coming from you RIP,” he wrote.
Batayeh is survived by his five sisters and his nieces and nephews.
His family asked for donations to go to the Clark Park Coalition fund to support Southwest Detroit youth.
“Mike was always passionate about helping youth in the community where he lived and grew up facing similar challenges,” his online obituary reads.
