Sean 'Diddy' Combs blasted by ex-spiritual adviser T.D. Jakes over leaked abuse video: 'Atrocious, degrading, demeaning' - New York Post

Sean “Diddy” Combs has lost a close ally in the wake of the March raids on his house and the subsequent release of a 2016 video of him brutally beating then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura.

Bishop T.D. Jakes, a longtime spiritual mentor to Diddy, quietly cut ties with the mogul earlier this month —  and publicly blasted him Sunday from the pulpit at the Potter’s House, his megachurch in Dallas.

“This wasn’t on the program,” a fiery Jakes told his 17,000 congregants. “But I got a request that came in on social media as I was coming into the church.”

He then addressed the shocking video of Diddy abusing Ventura that was first revealed by CNN last week, which showed the hip-hop mogul kicking, grabbing, dragging and appearing to throw a vase at Ventura as she tried to escape from a Los Angeles hotel.

“When I saw the images that have been floating all over the news all week, it became difficult to watch … The atrocious, degrading, demeaning debauchery.

“I know who it was, but as a man, I saw my daughters. And it made me angry.”

On Sunday, Diddy posted an apology video, which was quickly blasted by Ventura’s lawyers as self-serving.

“It’s so difficult to reflect on the darkest times in your life, but sometimes you got to do that,” Diddy said in the video on Instagram in which he did not name Ventura or refer to her directly.

“I take full responsibility for my actions in that video, I’m disgusted.

“I was disgusted then when I did it and I’m disgusted now. I went and I sought out professional help, started going to therapy and rehab, had to ask God for his mercy and grace,” the rapper added.

However, he will no longer be getting guidance from Jakes, as their relationship has splintered in recent months.

In December, Christian music producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones filed a 98-page federal lawsuit in the Southern District of New York, alleging he had been sexually harassed, drugged and threatened by Combs while he lived and worked with him from September 2022 to November 2023.

As part of the lawsuit, Jones alleged to have a recording of “Combs detailing how he planned to leverage his relationship with Bishop T.D. Jakes to soften the impact on his public image.”

The lawsuit led to videos being posted on Instagram and TikTok — many of them created by AI —  spreading unfounded rumors that Jakes was involved in some of Diddy’s more unsavory behavior. Jakes vehemently denied any involvement.

But the final straw came on May 4, when Combs posted an Instagram video that contained an audio of one of Jakes’ sermons. After seeing the video, Jakes unfollowed the mogul on social media.

Until Sunday, Jakes declined to speak publicly about Diddy.

“Let me tell you a couple of things before we pray, both for the victims and the perpetrator,” Jakes told the congregation.

“There’s something you need to understand. If you’ve got a rage you can’t control, if you have an emotional problem, a mental health issue where you’re bipolar and your kids get scared when they hear your car coming home, you gotta get some help, dude.”

A rep for Diddy did not return The Post’s request for comment.
