Spider-Man producer advised Tom Holland and Zendaya not to date - digitalspy.com

Spider-Man: No Way Home stars Tom Holland and Zendaya recently confirmed that they are dating, which makes it three for three in terms of Peter Parker actors romancing their on-screen love interests in real life.

Amy Pascal, the Sony Pictures boss who has been involved in all the live-action Spidey films, was asked what makes her lead actors – Holland and Zendaya, Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone, and Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst – drawn to one another.

While she didn't know what it was that brought the couples together, she admitted that she had definitely noticed a pattern and even tried to stop the pairings from happening.

"I took Tom and Zendaya aside, separately, when we first cast them and gave them a lecture," she told The New York Times. "Don't go there – just don't. Try not to.

"I gave the same advice to Andrew and Emma. It can just complicate things, you know? And they all ignored me."

Perhaps, Amy Pascal needs to tell future Spider-Men and their on-screen girlfriends that they have her blessing to get together...

No Way Home has broken box office records since it released less than a week ago, so it's no surprise that another film – or potentially another trilogy – is in the planning.

Tom Holland recently spoke out about what he would personally like to see in a fourth movie, saying: "I'd like to make a film about Peter Parker that has nothing to do with Spider-Man.

"Like, make a four million-pound indie movie about Peter Parker. I don't know. They'd never do that. But it would be fun."

Spider-Man: No Way Home is out in cinemas now.
